Speaking during the company’s 2012 family day celebrations in Dar es Salaam over the weekend, Twiga cement Human Resource director, Ms Jayne Nyimbo said that the company is expecting to increase its production capacity to boost construction industry.
“Currently Twiga Cement is producing a minimum of 5,000 tonnes daily. “The ongoing power rationing countrywide is a huge challenge for the firm,” she said. Explaining further during presentation of awards to various company’s best workers for 2011, she said that the company is also recognising the welfare of its workers.
Ms Nyimbo said the awards were a token recognition for their contribution, commitment and performance . According to her this year employees of the year, Twiga Cement have handed over awards to 13 best workers by giving them 350,000/- each as the best way to promote, motivate workers. Twiga Cement Managing Director, Lesoinne Pascal thanked the company’s workers for their commitmentand asked them to work hard this year.
